“When we arrived at check in the mini fridge wasn’t connected and it defrosted. When we opened the fridge door, it made the room smell. There was a vape pen and child’s drawing on the floor. The area behind the beds was extremely dusty. We called the front desk lady and she came up and was very helpful and cleaned out the fridge and vacuumed near the beds. We asked to get a discount because the room wasn’t ready for check in and we had to wait for her to finish before we moved our stuff in and got ready. The front desk lady (Maxine) said the manager would be around tomorrow. Check out day comes and we ask for the refund from the front desk lady. She says that the manager isn’t in and we have to call tomorrow. We ask to speak with her or the owner and the owner, who’s name is Ron, comes out and seems like he doesn’t want to talk to us. Tells us that the manager is the only one that can process the discount. The front desk lady, Maxine, finally gets the manager Nicki on the phone and she says that we got $30 taken off of our $287 bill for 2 nights. We tell her that that’s really nothing compared to the inconvenience it was checking in and that the owner was very rude and not trying to hear our concerns. She said sorry but that was all she was going to do. Take your money somewhere where the owner actually cares about how clean their hotel is and cares about customers concerns.”
