Loved it! Very clean. The staff was very friendly. I didn't really like the restaurant, though. My husband and I went down for breakfast the morning before checking out. The options are horrible. The restaurant was serving brunch. It was nice , however, our waitress seemed to have a resting "B" face or an attitude of some sort. She appeared to be frustrated when we asked her something about the menu. After that, we left her alone. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. But I wouldn't visit their restaurant.

The two best things I can say about this hotel: the location is great, and it’s one of the few hotels in the area to have in-room hot tubs at a reasonable price. Other than that, I wasn’t terribly impressed. When we got to the hotel we were informed, despite paying for parking ahead of time, they were out of parking space. Uh, what? Why are you offering parking to people that aren’t hotel guests to the point where you can’t accommodate your guests?!? In the end the valet took our car and……left it on the street. We left for dinner and came back around 10, and they moved it a whopping 3 feet into an open parking space, instead of being illegally parked like it was previously. We ended up asking for and receiving a refund on parking as we obviously could have done this ourselves. The room itself, while spacious and nicely decorated, smelled like smoke and could have used a deeper cleaning and touch up paint. The mattress was a little uncomfortable. Thankfully the hot tub worked perfectly and the hotel was quiet by us, despite being pretty busy downstairs. Overall this place is passable, but I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

I chose this hotel based on the unique decor features in the photos. The room was fine, super large, nice bathroom, however the shower head should be updated to match the rest of the updates. The area is pretty quiet, so noise isn’t an issue, even though my room faced the street. 5 stars should go to the staff! Every time you walk in, you are greeted and treated like royalty! The staff are extremely happy, warm and inviting, this I appreciated so much. Thank you. Minor Drawbacks, at least during my stay, no on-site restaurant, no in room snacks, no rewards program, and only valet parking. With that said, the Valet folks are friendly and fast!

Lovely hotel, ideally located. Great staff when available. No coffee in rooms, when asked reception said they would bring it up, never did, this happened 3 times. Room wasn't serviced on a daily basis and you had to ask reception for it to be cleaned.

This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and I am just as in love as ever! The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and comfy, and the location is unmatched! Even my dogs had a great visit. Will leave as my permanent go to.

Stayed for a week, much longer than anticipated, but was overall a pleasant stay. Great location, andone can easily walk around... explore, etc.Ben the concierge was very helpful, all around nice guy. The night before leaving system issues beyond anyone's control began to occur between booking agencies and the hotel. Fingers were pointing and I believe a few customers were left high and dry. One woman was even visibly upset, the staff mostly watched, doing little to nothing to help besides the obligatory "sorry for the inconvenience".I expected the same that evening but opted to be patient. Up to this point, the overall service would have been about a negative three had it not been for the professionalism of Douglas who came in that evening, a gentleman whose integrityand an obvious sense of ownership of a problem that he did not cause, literally stepped-in and began picking up the pieces left behind by others... going light years above and beyond to make things right that evening for the customers that were to come in afterwards. I was one of them.He certainly showed that high quality service is not dependent on a computer.In the absence of all else, a sense of integrity, service, initiative,and professionalism still prevail.A little empathy and understanding is all it takes.Every hotel, school, government agency, even group of randos, etc. can benefit from having a Douglass around. I will certainly stay again.

This review is overdue. I checked in to Sonesta for a staycation before returning back to work full time in person and Iwas super excited because my puppy was allowed to join me but this place is smoke and mirrors. Beautiful appearance on the outside and my room was even beautiful but what I didn't understand was the open snacks in the nightstand drawer. Like several snacks that were half eaten, just sitting in the drawer. Major red flag!!! Also, when I was changing the bedding, I noticed that the mattress (not mattress cover) had several urine stains. Could be from a dog or human, none the less, gross. Additionally the amenities suck. The pool is awful. Who puts a pool in between two buildings? No sun, no tanning, water freezing- even while hot. The fitness center I guess was basic and that's a compliment, but after paying nearly $1k for my weekend stay, I expected much better. I tried to get some type of compensation from corporate because any decent business could understand how this could be off putting but I alas. I stayed At the sonesta and it's the very same vibe. A scam for your money. Front desk staff were nice though.

The car was sitting there, but no one came to get us to hand us the keys. The only real perk is that it's walking distance from a lot of restaurants and shops.

Eu simplesmente adorei minha estadia neste hotel ... Provavelmente um dos melhores hotéis em que já fiquei em DC (não só por causa da localização, mas porque é muito limpo e você não encontra isso com muita frequência). O hotel é moderno, muito espaçoso e o pessoal é super legal… eu mencionei que o hotel é muito limpo? Haha Eu estava um pouco nervoso porque continuei lendo os comentários falando sobre o A / C quebrado, mas não foi esse o caso no fim de semana passado. Eles consertaram o A / C, então nos divertimos muito ... sem problemas. Se você é como eu que, ao procurar um hotel, gosto de encontrar bons preços em boas localizações e hotéis realmente limpos, então é isso

I absolutely loved my stay in this hotel…Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in DC (not only because of the location but because it’s very clean and you don’t find that very often) The hotel is modern, very spacious and the staff is super nice…did I mentioned the hotel is very clean? Haha I was a little bit nervous because I kept reading the reviews talking about the broken A/C but that was not the case this past weekend. They fixed the A/C so we had a very nice time…no issues at all. If you are like me that when looking for a hotel I like to find good prices in good locations and really clean hotels then this is it

A localização e o preço eram muito bons! O AC não parecia funcionar muito bem. O frigobar não chegou a 40 ou menos. A tv dizia para clicar em guia para alugar filmes, mas nunca funcionou. Os telefones tinham um botão de serviço de quarto, mas não oferecem serviço de quarto. Quando perguntei na recepção quem entregava comida no hotel, eles não tinham certeza. As tarefas domésticas nunca vinham e refrescaram nada. O saguão e os elevadores não tinham, ou pelo menos tinham AC mínimo. Então, a cada viagem para fora do hotel, você tinha que passar pelo desafio das ondas de calor. Em uma nota positiva, a equipe foi amigável, o manobrista foi incrível, os quartos eram limpos, a decoração era agradável. Eu potencialmente ficaria aqui novamente. Mas examinaria outras opções primeiro.

The location and price were very good! The AC didn't seem to work that great. The mini fridge didn't get to 40 or under. The tv kept saying to hit guide to rent movies, but it never worked. The phones had a room service button, but they do not offer room service. When I asked the front desk who delivered food to the hotel they were unsure. Housekeeping never came in and freshened anything. The lobby and elevators had no, or at least minimal AC. So every trip out of the hotel you had to run the heat wave gauntlet. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, the valet was awesome, the rooms were clean, the decor was nice. I would potentially stay here again. But would look at other options first.

The staff was extremely helpful, and most especially the concierge services. Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean. There are a variety of restaurants nearby and boutique shops within walking distance. No complaints at all for the hotel! I would stay here again and recommend them to all of my friends.

Meu namorado reservou este hotel para a nossa primeira viagem a Washington D.C! Era o fim de semana do meu aniversário e reservamos uma “escapadela de fim de semana” que veio com champanhe e também doces da padaria. Eu amo que eles montaram pacotes diferentes para os casais desfrutarem de seu tempo. A única reclamação que tenho é que alguns dos membros da equipe não parecem ter sido treinados tão bem quanto outros e demorou um pouco para fazer o check-in. O atendimento ao cliente também é um sucesso ou um fracasso, pois fomos redirecionados para linhas diferentes para fazer nossa reserva, mas assim que fomos direcionados para a linha certa, o funcionário do atendimento ao cliente foi muito útil. Não eram todos os funcionários do hotel, o manobrista foi super cortês e atencioso. A outra reclamação é o corredor, elevador e quarto era um pouco pequeno. Portanto, era difícil levar nossos itens para a sala. Fora isso, era muito quieto, o que era romântico, também era limpo e a arquitetura / arte era magnífica. O banheiro e o quarto eram luxuosos, e os lençóis eram de cetim italiano. Eu geralmente tenho um problema com dormir em hotéis devido ao conforto, mas a cama parecia ser de espuma de memória. My boyfriend booked this hotel for our first trip to Washington D.C! It was my birthday weekend and we booked a “weekend getaway” which came with champagne as well as sweets from the bakery. I love that they put together different packages for couples to enjoy their time. The only complaints I have is that a few of the staff members didn’t seem to be trained as well as others and it did take a while to get checked in. Customer service is also a hit or miss since we were redirected towards different lines to make our reservation, but once we did get directed to the right line the customer service associate was very helpful. It wasn’t every employee at the hotel, the valet was super courteous and attentive. The other complaint being the hallway, elevator and room was a bit small. So it was hard to roll our items into the room. Otherwise it was very quiet which was romantic, it was also clean and the architecture/art was magnificent. The bathroom and room itself was luxury, and our sheets were Italian satin. I usually have an issue with sleeping at hotels due to comfort but the bed seemed to be memory foam. For the price this is amazing, and valet was a lower price as well. I will most definitely check out Sonesta again wherever we do decide to travel.
