“As I mentioned earlier, we have visited this amazing place in term of their concepts. As everyone knows very well they provide both meals and drinks unlimited. Even after post Covid controlled situation, they operate without limitations. That is a good sign of country is in right directions. Along with us it was nice sight to see some foreigners. Later we got to know they are staff members of Embassy of Russia. Actually it added somthing to back to normal feeling.How they respond post Covid situation ---------------------------------------- They are very much strict on social distancing, face mask & hand sanitization when check-in, enterng into buffet, bars etc. They do not provide anything until you wear face mask. If someone forgotten to bring their own, they are offering new one. ----------------------------------------------They have cut down the service of 1/3 of their staff after lockdown. However, they have enough staff to provide their normal routine. I felt kind of VIP of their services. Being a vegetarian, it is very hard to find a dish that match my desire. However, Chief of the restaurant himself promptly provided me a vegetarian fried rice. They were all beside me. Amazing staff as it mentioned here repeatedly.They are very generous in the bar as well. Since there are no foreign guests they are not operating some f their authentic restaurants. They provided all the cocktails as usual while offering customers requests. Only jumbo peanuts they serve as bites.Executive Chef from Belgium also spoken to me. They are not allowing guests to serve themselves due to covid-19 threat. Instead kitchen staff served you. As a someone who hate wasting food, this method wastes less.Housekeeping & room service staff are very helpful according to my friends. Hovever, they charge money for on call doctor(LKR 6,000/-).Garden were maintained well.Cleanliness at its best.I found noodles half coocked tody's breakfast. And to minimize serving they have preared glass full of fruits. That's agan waste less food & time.Hotel RIU is what you see is what you get.(WYSIWYG)”
