“Staff and location are amazing! Nicely maintained beach and pool area. Wonderful artificial reef with lots of ocean life just behind the hotel. Relaxing water hammocks and access to paddle boards, sea kayaks, snorkel gear, an amazing bar and restaurants make it so you barely need to leave the hotel during your stay.
During the hottest park of the day head to the court yard. It's beautiful, breezy, and shaded. You'll see the resident turtles and maybe even an iguana chilling out.”

“We are currently staying at the Grand Cayman Beach Resort. The beach in the hotel name is gone due to storms and erosion which is totally understandable. However, at no point during booking are you informed of this fact. This also makes the pool area extremely crowded and it's not even the high season. There are also not a lot of good options as the hotel restaurants/bars have basically, the same menu. The waitstaff and bartenders are awesome though, as are the staff at the coffee bar.
We checked in last Saturday and had a bunch of issues with our room. The safe was broken and would not lock. The space where a refrigerator is supposed to be was empty. We could not lock the door which was a big concern. The air conditioner would not turn off so the room was freezing. After multiple trips to the front desk over 36 hours, no repairs happened. We actually slept in a room that was about 36 degrees and no door lock. I had asked to change rooms and was told that none are available. On day two I met Claudio at the front desk. He had the repairs taken care of by the end of the day. He is a star at this Marriott!
Today, we are on day four of our stay and find that the room phone has not been working. Turns out it's not the phone but the phone line. I mean I understand things happen but what if we have emergency.
So far, aside from the staff who are so nice and accommodating, this has been kind of a disappointing stay. I'll update as the trip progresses.”
