“Stayed here for 6 nights with two others. Had the family room, which was really two seperate rooms together opened with the door (one room had king bed and the other had two single beds). Although it did the job well, wasn’t really a true family room by definition.The breakfast here was top notch. You select two dishes on menu with a wide range of Asian and western dishes as well as a drink. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and looked forward to it.The biggest gripe I had with our stay had to do with the pool. We were very much looking forward to it, but upon arrival we were told it was under maintenance and out of use, and instead were told we could use the pool at Park Plaza hotel in Soi 18. It would have gone a long way if they had been more proactive and told us this prior to arrival, say an email informing us of the works in progress. Luckily I was able to enjoy the rooftop pool on the last day, which I was keen on and if only this was available for the duration of our stay. Because of this, unfortunately I had to mark it down.Staff were very helpful in helping us get a taxi multiple times via Line Taxi. The restaurant staff too were very professional.The location was excellent. Easy 10 mins walk to Asok station, plenty of nice, affordable thai massages up the street (highly recommend Araya massage). Unfortunately though it’s next to this German Hofbrauhaus restaurant which gets particularly rowdy on Friday and Saturday nights, but not much the hotel can do.Overall I was very happy with my stay at Akyra and only the pool situation stopped me from giving full marks.”

“My wife and I stayed here for our first two nights in Bangkok. I heard about this hotel after reading a trend article about how businesses have been practising environment sustainability as part fo their bottom line. This hotel stays true to its anti single-use plastic practice, which I find to be very admirable (the good example is how they don't give free water in plastic bottles. Rather, each room is provided with a stainless steel bottle which they can use to fill up at water points on each floor).The customer service was excellent, and the staff there made our stay very comfortable and welcoming. Small touches like the welcome card, coming into the room with Kenny G's music playing from the TV, and complimentary desserts, made a huge impression on us! We noted the hotel is listed in the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World" list. The hotel is indeed small, with only 50 rooms and one small lift that serves all nine floors, but that's what makes the hotel feels exclusive for us. We also like the tasteful, stylish decor of the hotel and our room too. The bed was really comfortable, and I guess tthe bad part about that is trying to get up from it every morning!Breakfast is served semi-buffet style, and each person gets to choose two main dishes from a small selection of Thai and Western Cusines (e.g. Thai fried rice, omelet rice, eggs benedict, pancakes, etc). The self-serve counter has cereal, fruits, juices, bread, museli, etc. The food was good, and kept us full till lunch!Location-wise, it's pretty near to Asok and Terminal 21 (just a little bit longer to walk from the station to the hotel). We didn't try this, but you can also rent e-scooters to explore the area.Overall, a solid comfortable hotel!”
